The Center for Image and Multimedia Technology (CITM-UPC) organizes the 3rd edition of the Indie Games Terrassa Congress, which will take place on Friday, December 12, at the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce. This edition of the congress will emphasize narrative in independent video games.
Morning activity:
- 09:00 – 13:00. II Symposium on Research in the Indie Game Industry. Presentation of academic papers and projects related to independent video games.
- 10:00 – 12:00: Workshop: "Author or Collaborator? How AI Transforms Narrative", led by Joan Alegret, CTO of . Register .
- 10:00 – 12:00: Workshop: "Worldbuilding of Spaces that Generate Stories", led by , writer and video game narrative specialist. Register .
Afternoon activity:
- 15:00 – 16:00. Conference: "Narrative Design is a Battlefield: Hard-Learned Lessons and Subjective Thoughts", led by Alexandre Boiret, Lead Narrative Designer at .
- 16:00 – 17:00: Interview and networking session with various professionals from the indie game ecosystem.
- 17:00 – 18:00. Conference: "Character Creation for Narrative Games", led by , writer and streamer.
- 18:00 – 19:00: Interview and networking session with various professionals from the indie game ecosystem.
- 19:00 – 20:00. Round Table: "Narrative in Indie Game Creation", with writer Inés Alcolea, Félix G. Ríos (Lead Narrative Designer at ), Esther Fernández Palou (QA Analyst Gameplay & Narrative at ), and Laura Ripoll (Game Developer at ).
- 20:00 – 21:00. Final networking session of the Congress with all attendees.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to visit stands with video game demonstrations created by young local studios and participate in a ludonarrative experience: a live role-playing game with missions that will turn the event into an interactive activity.
Additionally, between the different presentations, participants will be able to conduct individual interviews with speakers and other professionals from the sector.
