In an era in which digitalisation plays an increasingly central role in our daily lives, the technology gap can hinder older people's autonomy, and make them more vulnerable to social exclusion.
_The Digitalisation and Usability Project for Senior Citizens, that we are undertaking with the Fundaci贸 鈥漧a Caixa鈥, aims to reduce this digital vulnerability and enhance this group's inclusion in the digital society. Backed by over two decades of experience, this project provides a range of training activities which have been specifically designed to improve senior citizens' digital competencies.
_Our practical workshops, designed for people who have not had the opportunity to acquire prior knowledge in technology, aim to promote active ageing, enhanced digital autonomy and more comprehensive social participation. The activities cover topics which are practical and useful for daily life, such as using computers, online communication and carrying out administrative procedures using the Internet, and are based on an accessible and understandable approach.
